An opportunity has arisen for a permanent post as a Healthcare Scientist Associate Practitioner within the South East of Scotland Genetic Service, based at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh. The fully UKAS accredited laboratory provides both regional and national Genetics Services. The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a team and undertake a range of both technical and administrative duties under the supervision of senior scientific and technical staff.

• Process samples by routine molecular and cell culture techniques following standard operating procedures.
• Operate laboratory equipment and laboratory information systems.
• Adhere to strict timescales.
• Input patient demographics and test requests into LIMS systems accurately and timely.
