Academic Advisor Athletics

Description of Primary Duties

To assist the department of athletics with student athletes and their academic success and satisfactory progress monitoring for NCAA purposes, academic advising of student athletes, monitor class attendance and progress, and resources for career development. Minimum Acceptable Qualifications MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONSEducation: A Bachelors degree is required, preferably in Guidance and Counseling, Sports Administration, or a related field.Experience: Experience as an academic advisor is preferred; academic advising experience with student-athletes is Strong oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills are required.
