Job Summary:

Diagnoses, prevents, or treats disease based on traditional Chinese medical concepts of treating specific areas of the human body, known as acupuncture points or meridians.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collects medical histories and general lifestyle information from patients. Assess patient’s general physical appearance to properly treat.

Educates patients on topics such as meditation, ergonomics, stretching, exercise, nutrition, the healing process, breathing, and relaxation techniques.

Administers treatment through the use of manual, thermal, or electrical stimulation; acupuncture needles and moxibustion.

Maintains and follows standard quality, safety, and environmental infection control procedures.
