Adjunct, Technical Communications, Mech & Materials Eng (Fall 2026 - Summer 2027)

Job Summary/Basic Function:

WSU’s Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering is accepting applications for an adjunct teaching position in technical communications for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position is for an instructor of an undergraduate required course, Technical Communications for Engineers and Computer Scientists. This course covers both oral and written communications. The course is part of the Wright State Core, and as such, it covers academic writing, including locating, integrating, and correctly citing source material in technical documents, such as recommendation reports and technical proposals.

Minimum Qualifications

Professional experience or academic qualifications including technical writing, with an emphasis on engineering and scientific writing including technical reports, journal articles, and technical proposals.
