Job Description
Responsibilities
- Stand navigational watch as Officer of the Watch (OOW)
- Assist in voyage planning and safe navigation of the vessel
- Maintain and update nautical charts publications and electronic navigation systems
- Operate and monitor radar, ECDIS, GPS and other navigational equipment
- Ensure compliance with COLREGs, SOLAS and company safety procedures
- Assist in safety drills, emergency response and pollution prevention
- Maintain navigational logs and records
Requirements
- Valid Second Officer Certificate of Competency
- STCW certification (as applicable)
- Relevant sea‑time experience
- Good knowledge of navigation systems and maritime safety regulations
- Ability to work in shifts and under operational pressure
