Position Overview

Border General Hospital, NHS Borders – Specialist Clinical Pharmacist (Permanent, Full‑time, Band 8a). The role is part of an expanding cancer service team and involves a senior level of service development, clinical leadership and patient‑centred care for daycase Cancer and Palliative Care patients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and ongoing evaluation of key service developments within cancer pharmacotherapy.
• Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to multidisciplinary teams and support staff.
• Develop and deliver training and educational sessions for healthcare professionals.
• Contribute to the development of patient‑centred care pathways and medicines governance.
• Lead projects that improve patient outcomes, reduce health inequalities and implement innovative clinical practice.
