Summary The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) for Fayetteville, AR practices in Surgical Service Urology to provide a full range of services emphasizing quality, timeliness, and the advancement of the Veterans Affairs (VA) mission. The NP provides advanced clinical practice, consultation, and management. Responsibilities Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks is currently recruiting for an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner to work in the Urology Section of Surgical Service. This mid-level provider will perform history & physical exams, will order/interpret diagnostic tests, (e.g. UA, bladder scan), develop treatment plans, schedule additional follow-up, initiate referral consults (internal and external). Performs minor procedures (e.g. foley insert/change/irrigation, dilation, wound care) in clinical setting and inpatient setting. Prescribes medications within defined scope of practice.
