Aerox - Internship CFD & Thermal Management

AEROX develops and operates air purification systems for industrial applications, with a strong focus on odour control using cold-plasma-based technologies. The R&D team at AEROX improves system performance through a combination of experimental work and numerical simulation. Within the cold plasma module, thermal management is critical to the efficiency of the cold plasma process. This internship addresses that challenge using CFD simulation and geometry optimisation.

The intern will be part of a multidisciplinary R&D team, working closely with engineers, chemists, and data scientists.

Responsibilities

• Building and refining a 3D geometry of the cold plasma module housing in SolidWorks
• Setting up Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) simulations coupling airflow and solid conduction
• Modelling the plasma region as a volumetric heat source
• Validating thermal distributions against experimental data
