**Aircraft Mechanic I**

WORKCENTER: Back Shop Maintenance (Wheel & Tire)

**Essential Responsibilities:**

+ Provide off-equipment maintenance for wheels, tires and associated equipment used on assigned aircraft.
+ Manage, forecast and coordinate overhaul maintenance for over 50 wheel & tire assemblies spanning 4 different aircraft MDS's.
+ Operates all associated ground support equipment and uses hand tools, special tools, fixtures and adhesives applicable to maintenance and repair.
+ Researches technical data, maintenance drawings and blueprints for inspection, maintenance, and repair of assigned equipment.
+ Disassemble /Reassemble, inspect, repair and repack Boeing and Gulf Stream wheel & tire assemblies.
+ Monitors bench and shop stocks and orders material and supplies as required.
+ Coordinates maintenance efforts with the NDI Shop, Sheetmetal Shop, Production Supervisors and Maintenance Operation Coordination Center.
