Aircraft Mechanic II - Fuel Systems

**POSITION TITLE:** Aircraft Mechanic II (Fuel System)

**WORKCENTER: BACK SHOP** (Fuel Shop)

**Essential Responsibilities:**

+ Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul and modify fuel systems.
+ Drain fuel from tanks and cells.
+ Perform purge operations on cells and tanks.
+ Removes, reassembles, and installs components.
+ Cleans and inspects fuel cells.
+ Monitors the need for sealants and necessary seals for mission support.
+ Inspect and repair aircraft fuel systems.
+ Monitor bench stock, shop stock and Composite Tool Kits (CTK's).
+ Perform on and off equipment maintenance, as required.
+ Uses maintenance instructions and technical data for inspections and maintenance in the repair of aircraft.
+ Provides the specialized knowledge to accomplish difficult repairs and perform major repairs, as needed.
+ Document discrepancies in the applicable form(s) and inputs data in Maintenance Information Systems.
