Overview

We are looking for a qualified Anaesthetic Technician to work at Waikato Hospital, Hamilton. The role involves supporting anaesthetists and providing skilled clinical and technical assistance in a range of operating theatres.

Responsibilities

• Assist, deliver and evaluate safe and appropriate care in the delivery of anaesthesia to patients.
• Provide professional and skilled clinical and technical assistance to the anaesthetist during theatre procedures.
• Work as part of the theatre team to provide top quality care to patients undergoing anaesthesia.
• Support operations in a variety of theatres, including trauma and critical care, elective and acute theatres (gynaecology, urology, orthopaedics, plastics, colorectal, breast surgery, endoscopic procedures), complex and challenging theatres (cardiothoracic, vascular, neurosurgery, maxillofacial, otolaryngology) and paediatric patients from neonates to over 2 years.
