About the Role
Our team provides advice to the Government on a range of economic policy areas, including banking, insurance, retirement income, capital markets, and overseas investment.
We are responsible for three significant pieces of legislation: the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act, the Natural Hazards Insurance Act, and the Overseas Investment Act.
Additionally, we manage the budget process for the Ministry for Regulation and lead engagement with Australian counterparts through the Trans‑Tasman Council on Banking Supervision.
