Application Engineer

· Design, test and release production seatbelt system designs

· Manage the release of the design through the Autoliv design change process

· Position requires ability to manage Customer relationships related to product development and implementation.

· Engineering background with good problem‑solving skills, hands‑on approach to development, testing, sample builds, teardowns, developing fixtures for testing and developing new test methodology.

· Active member of cross‑functional team of design engineers, purchasing, quality, process and launch engineers.

· Work closely with Program Management as point contact to customers.

· Release internal component drawings, assembly drawings and customer drawings.

· Support the Autoliv Product Development System by releasing engineering documents related to product design/development such as DFMEA’s, DV/PV test reports, etc.
