Asbestos Assessor / Trainee Hazmat Consultant (Field Based)

We are looking for an energetic and passionate individual with a preference for a hands‑on approach to join our team in Palmerston North as a Hazmat Consultant.

Responsibilities

• Perform asbestos/HAZMAT surveys.
• Perform asbestos air monitoring and clearance inspections.
• Review and generate asbestos registers.
• Perform methamphetamine testing and reporting.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate risk‑management policies and programs.
• Prepare technical reports on risk mitigation and management strategies.
• Perform occupational hygiene monitoring under the supervision of the Environmental and Occupational Hygiene Manager.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to climb ladders and scaffold.
• Work with mask and suit in small enclosures.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Word and other software/app‑based programs.
