Job Description

The ASC Registered Nurse - Cath Lab is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients during their admission, procedure, and recovery of therapeutic and diagnostic cardiovascular procedures. 
Job Relationships
Reports to the Manager of Operations, Cath Lab
Principal Responsibilities
ADMISSION - Greet patient and instruct in changing into appropriate attire. Complete pre-operative assessment, document on appropriate chart forms and administer pre-op orders (. medications, IV's). Provide pre-operative teaching to patients and significant others. Consult with other members of the health care team members regarding patient care.
PROCEDURE – Accompany patient to the procedure room. Perform intraoperative duties such as completing the medical record, maintaining and observing sterile technique, and supplying the team with sterile supplies as needed.
