Job Description

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Engineering Operations , the Assistant Building Manager will manage the daily operations of corrective and preventative maintenance for critical building systems, automation controls and valves directly related to HVAC, electrical, piping/plumbing systems. The ABM will also follow up on work tickets, insures completeness and reports out key stakeholders, including clients and building occupants.

Responsibilities

  • Performs duties as related to EAP/Fire Life Safety Director certification for applicable commercial/class E buildings. After-hours response to building fire alarms as part of the CUIMC fire brigade.

  • Maintains the necessary FDNY certificates of fitness as part of the engineering operations teams (e.g., C-14, S-95, A-35, P-98).

  • Performs inspections of custodial supply rooms, mechanical equipment rooms, and stock areas to identify potential regulatory and worker safety issues.
