Assistant Buyer - Prep and Bake (Non Food) - 12 month Fixed Term Contract

We are on the lookout for an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our Prep and Bake (Non Food) team. You will be an autonomous buyer who will have already bought many ranges. You will be responsible for 2 big streams in the prep and bake area, 70% will be Range Planning and 30% will be Promotional Buying.


You will be responsible for:



Helping to build and source customer/market insight led ranges and product innovation - Supporting my manager to manage supplier performance.

Leading product setup within Tesco proprietary systems ready for sale.

Identifying potential new suppliers and supporting to build long term supplier relationships.

Providing support to ensure my category has a long term, customer led plan which drives loyalty.

Conducting regular store/website visits and reviewing customer insight and trends, helping shape our future product and range requirements for our customers.
