Assistant Controller

Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to support a printing and publishing organization in Costa Mesa, California. This Contract position is suited for a hands-on, detail-oriented accounting specialist who can step into a dynamic environment, take ownership of core close activities, and help maintain accurate financial operations. The role will work across reconciliations, reporting, compliance, and process improvement while partnering with internal teams and external accounting resources.

Responsibilities:
• Lead key month-end close activities, including preparation and review of balance sheet and cash reconciliations to ensure accounts are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Record and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and supporting documentation.
