The Assistant Nursing Manager ensures the appropriate and safe delivery of nursing care to patients undergoing surgical services. Accountable for the smooth, effective and efficient functioning of the unit during the assigned shift with minimal direction from the Department Head. Supervises, instructs, and assists department's technical staff ensure the objectives and policies of the patient. Coordinates physician's and department's needs to ensure specialty equipment and supplies are available for procedures. Assists and provides input to department head regarding employment interviews, staff performance issues/needs, and employee schedules.
