Job Description
We are looking for a full-time/live-in Assistant Stud Supervisor to join Cambridge Stud at our Karaka Farm.
Description
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Handling foals, yearlings and racehorses
- Feeding, rugging, mucking out and general horse husbandry
- Monitoring horse health and assisting with vet treatments
- Maintaining accurate records
- Supervising staff when required
- Be available for after-hours trucks arriving
Hours: Mon to Fri 7am to 4pm, and every second weekend.
About you
- At least 3 years’ experience working on a stud or in a similar equine role
- Confident handling a range of horses, including foals, yearlings and racehorses
- Confident in administering medication and bandaging
- Knowledge of broodmare breeding cycles and care
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or in a team
