Brief Description of Duties

The Assistant or Associate Professor in Nutrition and Dietetics in the University of the District of Columbia, College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES) engages the scholarly activities of teaching, research, and service, to prepare innovative, evidence-based nutrition practitioners to be research and community engagement leaders by advocating for nutritional status, health, and wellness improvement in diverse and underserved communities.

This position requires the faculty member to:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses with content specific to medical nutrition therapy, community/public health nutrition, nutrition assessment, counseling/behavior change, and food/nutrition security.
  • Serve as a Coordinator for the Nutrition and Dietetics Graduate Program Clerkship to manage contracts and affiliation agreements with internal and external sites, organize and track student...
