Atmospheric Scientist (Associate or Mid-Level) Company: The Boeing Company Location: Starfire Optical Range, Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, New Mexico This position supports the data analysis, hardware, and software development of electro‐optical systems for the Air Force Research Laboratory Optics Division's Space Domain Awareness mission. Responsibilities Provide daily detailed forecast for night operations. Work with onsite weather sensors, recommending improvements for instrumentation and visualizations. Interpret and validate numerical weather prediction data (GFS, ECMWF, HRRR, NAM, others) and communicate results to decision makers. Assist in developing and documenting weather requirements for telescope operations.
