Job Description
Summary This position serves as an Attorney-Adviser to a Member of the National Labor Relations Board. The Board is responsible for the adjudication of unfair labor practice cases and representation cases arising under the provisions of the National Labor Relations Act of 1935, as amended. Responsibilities As a Attorney-Adviser (Labor) (Counsel to Board Member), GS-0905-14, your typical work assignments may include: Researching the most difficult issues arising under the National Labor Relations Act and/or administrative law. Preparing legal memoranda and drafting proposed decisions and orders in a wide range of cases, including those presenting difficult legal issues not easily resolved under existing precedent Analyzing applicable law and facts in order to develop sound rationales for the disposition of difficult and novel questions of law, policy, and procedures; and formulating recommendations for consideration by the Board Member and/or the full Board.
