Job Description
Summary This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the General Counsel (OGC). The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Attorney Advisor for the Technology Programs Law Division (TPLD), Intellectual Property Group. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position. Responsibilities As an Attorney-Advisor (General), GS-0905-12/13/14/15, your typical work assignments may include: Providing legal support to DHS leadership and the Science & Technology Directorate on intellectual property (IP) matters. Supporting DHS's acquisition and enforcement of rights in Trademark through the preparation and prosecution of trademark applications and appeals; drafting cease and desist letters; working with relevant external parties to take down sites or products that misuse DHS marks or its seal. Offering written advice on IP and data rights in government contracts. Drafting and negotiating IP licenses, agreements, and contract clauses with third parties. ...
