Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Autism Support Worker to join our supportive team at a specialist SEND school committed to helping children and young people achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism and additional SEND needs
- Support students with communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents/carers to implement individual learning and behaviour plans
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Assist with personal care where required
- Help create a calm, structured, and engaging learning environment
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and equality at all times
