What You'll Be Doing

As part of the Institute of Skilled Trades faculty team in the Heavy Duty Equipment Repair - Truck and Transport program, you will:

  • Deliver theoretical and hands on practical shop training along with classroom instruction
  • Share real-life industry knowledge and troubleshooting experience
  • Mentor and support students entering the trade
  • Help students build the skills employers are looking for
  • Promote and ensure health and safety practices and procedures are consistently followed in classrooms, shops, and labs.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow instructors and industry partners
  • Stay current with evolving technology and industry practices
  • Participate in student advising, curriculum development, program promotion, committee work, and work placement support
