Biomedical Technician lll - 127226

Performs diagnostic trouble-shooting, repair and maintenance of sophisticated complex electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical biomedical equipment. Examples include ventilators, anesthesia machines, ultrasound, surgical lasers, infusion systems, patient monitoring systems, and other electro-mechanical and microprocessor-based instrumentation. Repairs and maintains other non-direct patient care equipment. Should have general IT and cybersecurity knowledge related to the healthcare technology environment. Evaluates new, proposed and existing equipment and related maintenance programs making recommendations for changes.

Coordinates vendor service for repairs and preventive maintenance. Performs acceptance inspection of new biomedical equipment and ensures equipment meets manufacturers' specifications for safe and proper use. Completes purchase requisitions for parts and supplies.
