Bits Operator (Manufacturing & Fabrication)

Bit Operators are expected to multitask across bit manufacturing processes including but not limited to bit grinding, blasting, assembly, and packaging. Some manual grinding expertise may be required, such as hole sizing operation and completion of hot work using oxy/acetylene equipment. Experienced in manufacturing products and components to specifications and print using variety of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Experienced with handheld grinding tools and being attentive to details.
• Make manual adjustments by grinding or drilling power and pneumatic tools.
• Assemble components to an engineering drawing and set procedures.
• Make setups and adjustments to assure proper alignment of parts.
• Lift, position, and secure workpiece as needed to turn or balance.
• Ensure his set-ups are approved by a senior operator or supervisor before continuing production welding.
