Bronx Green-Up Apprentice
Position Summary
The Bronx Green-Up Apprentice will assist in all aspects of the Bronx Green-Up (BGU) program. Responsibilities include: preparing for, documenting and assisting with educational and horticultural projects in community and school gardens and urban farms, as well as preparing and updating materials in the office. The BGU Apprentices will report to the Outreach and Education Manager.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
+ Prepare for community workdays at community garden and urban farm sites.
+ Work closely with BGU staff to develop and implement gardening workshops, events and projects.
+ Assist with community garden and urban farm workshops and workdays.
+ Organize and maintain materials, tools, garden inventory database, and photos.
+ Assist with BGU events, projects, outreach and educational efforts as needed.
