Building Operator, Level 3

Role Description

The Building Operator, Level3 is responsible for providing operational and technical support by performing maintenance and repairs for the retail shopping centre. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the operator ensures the shopping centre and related buildings are managed and maintained in a safe and environmentally responsible manner and to the highest level of operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance activities such as light bulb replacements, drywall repair, minor plumbing and electrical work, graffiti removal, painting, pressure washing, repair of furniture and fixtures.
• Assist with waste, recycling, hazardous materials handling, deliveries and inventory management.
• Assist in coordinating and overseeing service contracts, including snow removal, waste management, pest control, skylight and glazing cleaning/maintenance, compactor and composter repairs.
