Bus Monitor

Job Goal:

To assist in providing safe transportation so that children/students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the District's School program. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assist the bus driver in maintaining good student conduct on the bus. 2. Assist young or disabled students in getting on and off the bus. 3. Assure that students get on and off the bus in an orderly fashion. 4. Maintain student discipline. 5. Maintain records as assigned. 6. Drive school buses as a substitute when needed and as such, follow job description of bus driver when used. 7. Perform simple data recording/record keeping operations requiring logging, filing or posting single entry items either manually or by computer. 8. Use basic addition and subtraction in performance of job. 9. Read and interpret routine written or printed materials such as basic blueprints, chart, diagrams, maps or instruction material. 10.
