Cable Locator

Overview Under general supervision, this position provides for the prevention of damage to underground utilities in an assigned geographic area associated with the construction/upgrade of cable television or telephone systems. Responsibilities: Organizes and routes daily ticket load according to area and priority Meet with appropriate Supervisors and Managers for ticket priority and for project clarification Identification of utility sources and reference to records, maps and visual verification Uses conductive or direct hook up to locate appropriate underground utilities Sweeps for all relevant utility sources and mark appropriately Sketches each locate using measurements and offset points of reference Conduct thorough investigation on all utility damages Qualifications: Ability to work both individually and in a team environment Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners, and customers Ability to lift and/or pull 80 pounds several times each day Ability to endu...
