Cable Technician - NIGHT SHIFT

TEKsystems has a need for a Cable Tech AND/OR Data Center Technician to work a NIGHT SHIFT capacity. This would be a contract for a few months in the Colorado Springs area.

SHIFT HOURS: 9:30 PM to 5:30 AM Sunday through Thursday (5 nights)

MUST HAVE basic cabling/rack/stack/layer 1 troubleshooting.

• Must be detail oriented and able to work alone.
• 1+ years of exp cable technician experience
• CAT5, CAT6, or fiber, installation / termination

JOB DUTIES:

• Navigate a data center (row/aisle/rack/equipment)
• Identify ports/equipment
• Use labeling printers
• Detail oriented
• Install patch cords based on spreadsheets (to/from)
• Run/install cabling/fiber with best data center standards (need/maintain bend radius/etc.)
• Use of test equipment when required a plus (Fluke)
