AllGear Digital is looking for a high-energy, creative editor with a passion for the outdoors to write and edit Hiking, Backpacking, skiing news and reviews for GearJunkie, a leading online publication dedicated to the active outdoor lifestyle. This is a Denver-based hybrid, in-person contract-to-hire position, with the opportunity to grow into a larger commitment.

Responsibilities

• Fielding freelance pitches and management of freelancer network
• Editing stories for final publication
• Contributing to GearJunkie’s wider editorial team edits of other content verticals
• Planning Editorial calendar for GearJunkie Hiking, Backpacking, Camping, Skiing Category
• Write publication-ready news and reviews from approved pitches, or as assigned.
