JOB TITLE: Captain DEPARTMENT: Vessel - Operations VESSEL: Edward Jones, Jr. - 2000 HP SCHEDULE: 20/10 FLSA STATUS: Exempt SUPERVISION: Reports to: C.O.O., Director of Vessel Operations, Port Captain Supervises: Vessel Crew (Relief Captain, Pilot, Tankerman, Deckhand) Navigational Area: I.C.W.W. (Mobile to Brownsville) Gulf Coast (BR to Nola) Tow Compliment: 1-4 10K barges, 2-20K Barges, 2-30K barge Crew Compliment: 5-person crew (2 Wheelhouse, 2 Tankerman, Deckhand) Requirements for the Position: • 2 or more years (combined) as current Captain or Relief Captain on a Blessey Vessel preferred. • Possess a Designated Examiner (or willing to obtain). • 5 Years of Service with Blessey Marine preferred. • Be willing to train/post BMS Wheelmen and Steersman as needed.
