Carpenter/Finish - UIC Nappairit

**Overview**

UIC Nappairit seeks a Carpenter/Finisher for a commercial construction project. Responsibilities include general construction, civil and form work, structural steel stud and shear wall framing, and roof assembly. Finish carpentry duties involve installing moisture and vapor barriers, metal siding, flashings, commercial doors and windows with hardware, cabinets, furnishings, and trim.

**Responsibilities**

Essential duties will include:

+ Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
+ Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
+ Follow established safety rules, regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
+ Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
