Caseworker – Firearms Licensing Unit

Fixed term 12 months

Grade B (£25,242.00 - £26,703.00)

The main purpose of the role is to provide a case management and file building function in relation to issue of firearm/shotgun certificates ensuring continuity of support and compliance with Force and legislative standards for the firearms licensing process and handle all correspondence in relation to those cases.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Process and manage all incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring timely handling of post, applications, and routine enquiries.
  2. Update, analyse and interrogate Force IT records and intelligence systems in line with Force policy, Management of Police Information (MoPI), and national guidelines.
