Cashier

Overview

A cashier is responsible for processing transactions at a retail store, restaurant, or other businesses. They interact directly with customers, handling their payments, issuing receipts, and ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout process. Cashiers also play a key role in maintaining accurate records of sales, managing the cash register, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Transactions: Scan or manually input items, calculate totals, and process payments through various methods (cash, credit/debit cards, digital payments).
• Handle Cash and Change: Accept cash payments, provide the correct change, and ensure cash drawer is balanced at the end of each shift.
