Responsibilities

Job Summary: Business Unit / Department Mission: Inspects, wraps, rotates, cuts, tests, and orders meat for new and existing retail customers by performing the following duties.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

• Must be familiar with over 100 cuts of meat. Responsible for Market operation in Manager's absence.
• Assists Manager with organization and delegation of duties, including scheduling.
• Cuts meat for full and self-service cases.
• Organizes and delegates the day-to-day operation of the meat market.
• Places and receives meat orders, includes inventory control.
• Monitors work conditions for safety and sanitation.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and organizes the meat cooler, the cutting room, and the wrap station.
• Performs cutting tests on the profitability of retail meat cuts.
• Provides internal customer service. Assists in supervising up to 10 employees in the Market Department.
