Certified Orthotist or Orthotics Resident (One Position) (Saskatoon)

Duties and responsibilities

SaskAbilities provides professional Orthopaedic services to thousands of Saskatchewan clients each year. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our Orthotics department in Saskatoon. The successful candidate will join a team of 3 Orthotists and 4 Technicians to provide services for the northern half of the province.

• Perform patient evaluation and treatment planning related to orthotic devices for diverse patients; paediatric to senior.
• Provide education to, and discuss treatment options, with clients.
• Communicate and collaborate with inter‑professional health care teams in Saskatchewan.
• Design and direct the fabrication of an orthosis to meet client needs.
• Accurately document patient specific information in the patient’s medical record.
• Operate hand tools and equipment required to fabricate and adjust orthotic devices.
