General Summary
Administers anesthetic agents to patients according to established standards and regulations. Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
* Reviews and assesses patient condition and develops anesthesia management plan in collaboration with the Anesthesiologist.
* Administers anesthetic agents. Calculates doses and monitors parameters.
* Maintains patient documentation.
* Responds to code/trauma to establish and maintain patient airways via intubation. Documents treatment rendered.
* Transports patients from surgery area to post-anesthesia recovery area. Reports patient status to physician and nurse care giver.
* Provides airway management training to residents, students and other staff.
* IF ASSIGNED TO GETTYSBURG HOSPITAL: May be required to rotate work between the hospital and an ambulatory setting.
