Chairperson

Overview

The Bright Centre operates from 3 Dillons Point Road.

We have both permanent user groups based on site and we hire the Centre building to community groups to use on a regular basis and for birthday parties at weekends.

Responsibilities

• Be able to run a meeting.
• Previous experience as a chairperson or committee member would be preferred.
• We would like to have an independent chairperson, to help reduce potential conflicts of interest if decisions need to be made that impact 1 or more user or hire groups.

Time Commitment

• We hold 4 committee meetings a year; these usually last between 1 and 1.5 hours.
• 1 AGM per year; these are usually an hour long.
• 2 to 4 Centre user meetings per year; approx 1 to 1.5 hours.
