**Duties and responsibilities**
- Ensure safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the vessel’s electrical plant and systems
- Supervise and coordinate all electrical repair and maintenance activities
- Review and approve requisitions for electrical equipment in compliance with applicable standards
- Attend the Engine Control Room during maneuvers, drills, and emergency situations
- Support the Chief Engineer in budget planning and performance evaluation of electrical staff
- Manage procurement and planned maintenance systems in coordination with the Supply Office
- Oversee electrical stores, inventory control, spare parts, and purchase requisitions
- Ensure proper maintenance and daily operation of all electrical and electronic equipment in coordination with engineering officers
