**Child Care Center Assistant Cook**
Bring your cooking talents and kitchen management skills as an **Assistant** **Cook** . You’ll plan menus, prepare meals, and order inventory as you make a real difference in the lives of children, families, and staff.
This position offers a schedule of 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at our Ochsner Early Learning Center. **This role includes approximately 20 hours per week supporting kitchen operations and 20 hours per week teaching and engaging with children in the classroom.**
**Responsibilities:**
+ Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff.
+ Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.
+ Manage all aspects of prepping and preparing meals, as well as cleaning and complying with sanitation requirements.
