Job Description
Join Ciena as a Technical NPI Project Manager, focused on launching cutting-edge optical products into mass production. Your leadership will be vital in managing project phases and ensuring successful ramp-up at manufacturing sites.
In this role on Ciena's Optical Modem NPI and LCM Engineering team, you will navigate the complexities of product introduction, collaborating with R&D and operations to meet project milestones and mitigate risks. You will also manage critical proto builds and work with contract manufacturers to ensure seamless production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with R&D and Operations Engineering
• Define detailed project deliverables and timelines
• Keep a close track of Operations deliverables
• Communicate project status and proactively handle risks
• Oversee proto builds and manage relationship with contract manufacturers
