Claims Analyst

Reporting to the Global Head of Demurrage & Claims, the Analyst is responsible for the accurate calculation, negotiation and recovery of demurrage and voyage-related claims, supporting Shipping in managing voyage-level exposure and maximising cash recovery. The role requires strong technical expertise in charter party claims, sound commercial judgement, disciplined documentation, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Candidates should also be comfortable using systems and data to enhance efficiency, reporting and control.

• Calculate, validate and pursue recovery of demurrage and voyage-related claims, assessing contractual entitlement, issuing fully supported claims, and actively negotiating and escalating to maximise collection, while applying commercial judgement to understand and challenge the root cause of exposure.
