Clinical, Counselling, Forensic Psychologist

The South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust (SWYFT) is seeking a Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist (Band 7-8a) to join the Inpatient Psychology Team at Cheswold Park Hospital. The role involves assessment and therapeutic interventions for people with complex mental health needs within a secure setting, and includes opportunities for research, service development and training.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention to inpatient service users with complex, often forensic, mental health needs.
• Deliver group and individual therapy and support continuity of care through the transition to less restrictive environments.
• Consult and supervise colleagues, including assisting with the development of Band 7 Clinical Psychologists, trainees and assistant psychologists.
• Support multidisciplinary planning and service delivery in collaboration with other agencies.
