The Clinical Dietitian, will provide education and training in diabetes management and medical nutrition therapy patients, and their families, if needed, and community groups as defined by their scope of practice. The clinical dietitian interprets diet prescriptions and maintains records of patient contact and conveys pertinent information to physicians, nursing staff and food service staff. Documentation in the electronic medical record includes the assessment, nutritional diagnosis, interventions, monitoring and outcomes. Educates patients and their families, as needed, on diet modifications and charges for appropriate services as dictated by policy. Develops and maintains good working relationships.
