Job Description
UPMC Shadyside, a four-time Magnet-designated hospital, is looking to hire a full-time Clinical Professional Development Specialist (CPDS) to join their exceptional Nursing Education team!
This position will support our Operating Room. Previous experience working in an OR and scrubbing is required.
This role primarily operates during weekday daylight shifts, with the flexibility to engage with night and weekend staff as needed to meet the education requirements of the unit.
In this role, you'll provide hands-on, real-time education and support directly on the unit - scrubbing is required - working side by side with nurses to strengthen skills, confidence, and outcomes. This is an ideal opportunity for a nurse who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and being a visible resource for staff.
