About the role

Core purpose: to activate civic participation across Gisborne and surrounding areas. The role is remote, working from home, with co-location at the Commission’s Headquarters during the General Elections period.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and foster relationships through internal and external engagement
  • Respond to public and media enquiries efficiently while maintaining political neutrality
  • Support the delivery of electoral events
  • Engage with local community champions
  • Practice a continuous improvement approach
  • Contribute to the effectiveness and achievement of team and SEP goals
  • Maintain and develop community partnerships with communities and organisations
